Pause

I have continued to naturally get up very early, but seem to be somewhat exhausted from the extra working out I’ve been doing. Unfortunately my writing at Starbucks routine was halted today as, it seems, all of the Charlotte Starbucks have closed off their insides and are only available for take away, so I’m writing to you from my empty and available-for-rent room.

The moderate early success from my book 15 Weeks to Pass an Actuarial Exam has gotten me more interested in books and now I’m tinkering with writing a sci-fi tale. The story is about some engineers who try to tackle deaths in juvenile detention centers with a matrix-like solution. I have been in a good rhythm of writing at least 700 words, or about two pages in a paperback book, over the past week. I have about 40 total pages written and if anyone would like to take a look please don’t hesitate to reach out at jackallweil@gmail.com and I’ll send you what I have.

My past couple of days have consisted of trying to increase book sales, long walks, listening to podcasts, and reading. I booked another actuarial presentation, similar to the one I did for UNC-Charlotte, with the International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA) for December 2nd, which I’m very excited for. Today I will write, record a Brothers on Books Podcast episode with Al, and then get dinner with some buddies.
