As one is expanding their business ideas at some point you’re probably going to need to design something or outsource the ability to create something. They say to not judge a book by its cover… The problem is that’s not how our brains operate. We’re constantly looking for shining objects and want to buy things that touch us at an emotional level.
I was introduced to a site called, fiverr.com, where one can find individual contractors that have a wide range of skills. I used a cover artist to go from my original book cover:

While the first one didn’t look bad, I think the second one encapsulates really what I wanted to portray to potential buyers. It was amazing what this artist was able to do with just a short description of what I wanted. Here’s what I submitted to the artist about the cover:

I think Al and I will use it for getting our cover for the podcast, The Brothers on Books Podcast. All I know is there are a lot of talented people out there and this is one place I’ll go looking for them in the future.
